Uganda Rwenzori Mountains Katanda (Clean and Radiant)

This coffee is sourced from our friends at Vista Bean in Vista, CA. They work exclusively with partners in the Rwenzori Mountain region of Uganda to build long-term relationships with farmers to ensure financial sustainability and improved livelihoods. The mission at Vista Bean is to connect people to a purpose and we are proud to highlight the amazing work they have done to bring this high quality coffee to us.

Katanda is a community at the very southern end of the Rwenzori Mountains. The farmers pick and then pulp their coffee cherries using hand pulpers. The pulped coffee is then washed and dried in the sun to dry naturally. After rigorous assessment, the parchment is hulled, graded and prepared for export.
