Coffee is synonymous with Antigua. Surrounded by volcanos, this region is beautiful and vibrant. This was the first coffee launched by Big Step and characteristic of the coffee I enjoy - classic, clean, versatile.

Grown by Stuardo Coto on the Juaja farm (pronounced “how-ha”), this bourbon is grown under partial shade from grevillea and avocado trees. The rich volcanic soil, warm days and cool nights give Antigua a unique microclimate perfect for coffee. The farm of Juaja is one of the oldest coffee farms in Guatemala and Stuardo Coto is working with the landowner to produce and revive the finca for many generations to come.

Characterized by complex acidity and chocolate notes, this coffee is highly versatile and can be enjoyed equally as espresso and drip.
